Laptop Stand with Phone Clip ($50) - I've tried several stands and this one by far is my favorite. It adjusts up to 63" in height and is perfect for those zoom/virtual auditions. It has a built in phone holder, so you can record your self-tapes while reading with a friend over the computer. No more MacGyver'ing makeshift towers out of whatever you can find in your home!

Neewer 2-1 Backdrop ($62.99) - When it comes to backdrops, a plain wall is all you need. Seriously. Actors book all the time from natural light and a plain wall. But, if you must have a backdrop and would like to invest in one, this 2-1 backdrop does the job nicely. Now, go and rock that self-tape!

Neewer Softboxes ($94) - I personally the prefer the look of softboxes the best. These are an affordable option and you don't need anything fancy for your self-tapes. Your performance is what matters the most (NOT your DP skills). Production value wise, people need to see you and hear you clearly - that's it!

If you live a space that doesn't have the great light, I'd invest in a lighting kit. Softboxes are bulky and do take up quite a bit of room though, so keep that in mind if you live in a smaller space.

Canon Pixma MG3620 Wireless All-In-One Color Inkjet Printer ($90) - I love that this is small and does not take up a lot of valuable real estate on my side table. It's also wireless, so the moment an audition comes in, I print out the sides ASAP, regardless of where I am in my apartment. It's a game changer. Truly.
